When Vestas NEU in June commences the building of 30 V100 2,6 MV wind turbine towers for the O2 Wind Company i Sjisjka in northern Sweden,
the 70 workers will be housed in a camp run by Site Facility. The camp, which is situated by the Sami village of Killinge near the mining town
Gällivare in Lapland, north of the arctic circle, will consists of, among other things, a cinema, fitness centre, restaurant, games room, self sufficient laundrette,
and offices, as well as of course living quarters with a standard comparable to a 3-star hotel. For about five months the 70 strong workforce will stay and live in the
camp, which will have its focal point in the old village school for Sami children. Site Facility will upgrade the school's kitchen so that it can function as
the camp's restaurant. Site Facility is already in the process of recruiting the camp's
full time staff and hope to be able to fill many positions with people from the local area.
